See ticketsReal Madrid play at the Santiago Bernabéu, opened in 1947 on the Paseo de la Castellana, in the heart of Madrid. Fully renovated between 2019 and 2024, it is now one of the most modern stadiums in the world, with a retractable roof, a retractable pitch and a 360-degree screen, for over 80,000 spectators.
The stadium has two side stands, Lateral Este and Lateral Oeste, and two ends behind the goals, over five levels. The boxes and VIP areas are in the centre of the west stand, and the central lower blocks offer the best view of the pitch.
Tickets are in high demand all season. El Clásico against FC Barcelona and the derby against Atlético de Madrid are by far the most sought-after, along with big Champions League nights.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Lateral Oeste
The main stand, with the dugouts, the press box, the boxes and the VIP Box. The central lower blocks (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view in the stadium.
Lateral Este
The opposite side stand, over five levels. The central blocks of the lower tiers are Category 1 Platinum and Gold, the top tier (600s) Category 2 Lateral, more affordable.
Fondo Sur
Behind one goal, the Fondo Sur is home to the Real supporters' singing section, the loudest part of the stadium. The lower blocks are Category 2, the upper tiers Categories 3 and 4.
Fondo Norte
Behind the other goal, over five levels. The upper tiers (Categories 3 and 4) are among the cheapest seats in the stadium, with a bird's-eye view of the whole pitch.
Metro line 10, Santiago Bernabéu station, right in front of the stadium.
Nuevos Ministerios station (metro and Cercanías trains) about a 10-minute walk away, linked to Madrid-Barajas airport.
Arrive early: security checks at the entrances can take time on big match nights.
El Clásico against FC Barcelona is one of the most watched games in the world, and the Madrid derby against Atlético de Madrid sets the capital alight. These are the most expensive and hardest tickets to find of the season.
Real Madrid are the most successful club in Champions League history and have won more than 35 Spanish league titles. They play LaLiga every season (19 home games), the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
Alfredo Di Stéfano, Ferenc Puskás, Paco Gento, Raúl, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo shaped the club's history. On the French side, Zinédine Zidane, as a player and then as a coach who won the Champions League three times, 2022 Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé have worn the white shirt.
Madrid Football Club was founded in 1902 and received the title "Real" (royal) in 1920. Nicknamed "los Blancos" for its white shirt, it moved in 1947 into the stadium built by its president Santiago Bernabéu, who would give it his name.
With Di Stéfano, Puskás and Gento, Real won the first five European Cups, from 1956 to 1960. The "Galácticos" era in the early 2000s, then the European triumphs of the 2010s and 2020s, several of them with Zinédine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti on the bench, confirmed its dominance.
Named FIFA's best club of the 20th century, Real Madrid remain the most successful club in Europe. Its renovated stadium, opened in its new form in 2024, also hosts concerts and major events.
Real Madrid's next match at the Santiago Bernabéu is Real Madrid - Celta Vigo on Saturday, 21 November 2026 at 21:00. Tickets start from €116 on our comparison.
