See ticketsCraven Cottage has been Fulham's home since 1896, on the banks of the Thames between Putney and Hammersmith. Its name comes from an 18th-century hunting lodge that once stood on the site. Today's "Cottage", a small brick pavilion designed by architect Archibald Leitch, still sits in a corner of the ground: a one-off in the Premier League.
The stadium has four stands: the Johnny Haynes Stand, built in 1905 and a listed building, with its wooden seats, the Riverside Stand, completely rebuilt on the riverbank with modern hospitality areas, the Hammersmith End, the heart of Fulham's support, and the Putney End, which hosts away fans and a neutral section.
With just under 30,000 seats, Craven Cottage blends old-ground charm with the comfort of a new stand. A walk along the Thames through Bishops Park before the match is part of the experience.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Johnny Haynes Stand
The historic 1905 stand, a listed building with its original wooden seats. A unique experience, right in the heart of English football history.
Riverside Stand
The new stand along the Thames, with most hospitality areas, bars and a rooftop terrace. Lower seats offer a close, central view of the pitch.
Hammersmith End
Behind the north goal, home to Fulham's most passionate fans. The place with the strongest atmosphere.
Putney End
Behind the south goal, on the Putney side. Part of the stand is reserved for away fans (P5 to P7), the rest for Fulham fans and neutrals.
Tube, Putney Bridge station (District line): about a 15-minute walk through pretty Bishops Park, along the Thames.
Tube, Hammersmith station (District, Piccadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines): about a 20-minute walk.
Buses: several routes serve Fulham Palace Road, a few minutes' walk from the stadium.
Fulham share west London with Chelsea, less than three kilometres away, and the derby is always eagerly awaited. Games against Brentford and Queens Park Rangers, other west London neighbours, also matter a lot. Visits from big clubs fill Craven Cottage and push prices up.
Fulham play the Premier League (19 home games), the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. The club treasures 2010, when it reached the Europa League final under Roy Hodgson, having knocked out Juventus on a legendary night at Craven Cottage.
Johnny Haynes, the first English player paid £100 a week, and George Cohen, a 1966 World Cup winner, are the club's icons. Bobby Moore and George Best finished their careers here. On the French side, Jean Tigana led Fulham to the Premier League in 2001, with Louis Saha and Steed Malbranque. More recently, Aleksandar Mitrović was the Cottage's idol.
Fulham was founded in 1879 by members of a local church, making it London's oldest professional club. After several moves, it settled at Craven Cottage in 1896 and has never left.
The club spent much of the 20th century between the first and second divisions, driven in the 1950s and 1960s by Johnny Haynes. In 1975, with Bobby Moore in the side, it reached the FA Cup final, lost to West Ham.
Bought in 1997 by Mohamed Al-Fayed, Fulham raced up to the Premier League in 2001 under Jean Tigana. The club then enjoyed its greatest adventure with the 2010 Europa League final. After a few ups and downs, it has been back in the top flight since 2022.
The next match at Craven Cottage is Fulham - Newcastle United on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 15:00. On our comparison, tickets start from €79.

The price depends on the opponent and the stand: the Chelsea derby and visits from big clubs are the most expensive. Right now, tickets start from €25 on our site (per ticket, excluding fees). The Putney End and the Hammersmith End are often more affordable than the Riverside Stand and its VIP areas.
For big games, official ticketing is reserved for season-ticket holders and members. Without a membership, you can turn to hospitality packages and the resale sites we compare, far safer than social media listings. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
Craven Cottage is on the Thames in Fulham, west London. The easiest way is the Tube to Putney Bridge (District line), then a 15-minute walk through Bishops Park. Hammersmith is about a 20-minute walk.
Yes, and the new Riverside Stand has made it a highlight: Thames-side lounges, restaurants, bars and a rooftop terrace. More suites are available in the Johnny Haynes Stand. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map.
Fulham tickets are mostly mobile, shown on your phone at the entrance. They are sent a few days before the match, sometimes the day before. Each offer shows the delivery method.
Tours are generally not offered on match days. To see the historic stand and the famous Cottage, book the tour for another day and check dates on the club's official site.
