See ticketsCagliari play at the Unipol Domus, a temporary stadium built in 2017 right next to the old Stadio Sant'Elia, pending the city's new main stadium. Modular and practical, it offers stands very close to the pitch, with no athletics track.
The stadium holds around 16,000 seats across four stands. The Tribuna, on the main side, brings together the central seats, the press box and the VIP areas. Opposite, the Distinti offer a more affordable side view. The Rossoblù fans gather in the Curva Nord, facing the Curva Sud, and the away section is in the corner of the Distinti.
Watching Cagliari also means discovering Sardinia: the stadium is a stone's throw from the sea and the Sant'Elia district. The small capacity makes tickets precious for games against Inter, Milan, Juventus or Napoli.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna
The main stand, on two levels, with the Tribuna d'Onore, the press box and the VIP area. The best view in the stadium.
Distinti
The opposite side stand, also in the Premium category. The away section (Ospiti) is in its corner.
Curva Nord
The Cagliari fans' end, over two rows of blocks. Guaranteed atmosphere and cheaper tickets.
Curva Sud
The opposite end, with a view down the length of the pitch. Among the most affordable seats.
CTM buses from Piazza Matteotti and Cagliari station, with extra shuttles on match days.
On foot: about 40 minutes from the centre, along the seafront.
From Cagliari-Elmas airport: about 20 minutes by taxi or car.
As the only Sardinian club in Serie A, Cagliari represent a whole island. Games against the big northern clubs, Inter, Milan and Juventus, are seen as Sardinia's challenge to the mainland. Clashes with Napoli and Roma also draw big crowds.
Cagliari won the Italian championship in 1970, a historic feat for an island club, under Manlio Scopigno and with Gigi Riva as star striker. The club plays Serie A (19 home games) and the Coppa Italia.
Gigi Riva, "Rombo di Tuono", Italy's all-time top international scorer, remains the ultimate icon: he turned down the biggest clubs to stay in Sardinia. Gianfranco Zola, Enzo Francescoli, Daniel Fonseca, David Suazo and Radja Nainggolan also left their mark on Rossoblù history.
Cagliari Calcio was founded in 1920 in Sardinia's capital. Its red and blue colours are those of the city, and its crest bears the four Moors of the Sardinian flag. For decades, the club played far from the top flight.
Promotion to Serie A in 1964 launched the golden age. Led by Gigi Riva, Cagliari won the Scudetto in 1970, and six of the club's players were in the Italy squad that reached that year's World Cup final. The whole island identified with that team.
Since then, the club has moved between Serie A and Serie B, with a UEFA Cup semi-final in 1994. In 2023, Claudio Ranieri, who had already coached the club in the late 1980s, brought it back to Serie A and kept it there the following season. A new stadium is due to eventually replace the Unipol Domus.
The Rossoblù's next game at the Unipol Domus: Cagliari - Frosinone on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 15:00. Tickets from €105 on our comparison.

With only 16,000 seats, prices rise quickly against Inter, Milan, Juventus or Napoli. Right now, prices start at €25. The ends are the cheapest, the centre of the Tribuna the most expensive.
Yes: in Italy, tickets are in the holder's name and ID may be checked at the gate. Season-ticket holders get priority for big games. Use the resellers we compare rather than social media: they are reliable and guarantee their tickets, with a refund or solution if there's a problem.
The stadium is in the Sant'Elia district, about 3 km from central Cagliari. CTM buses link Piazza Matteotti and the station to the stadium, with extra shuttles on match days. From Elmas airport, allow about 20 minutes by car or taxi.
Yes, the Tribuna hosts the VIP stand, the Tribuna d'Onore and hospitality packages. When our partners offer them, they appear on the match map.
They are usually electronic, in each spectator's name, and sent a few days before the match. Keep your ID with you.
