See ticketsSince 2009, Espanyol have played at the RCDE Stadium in Cornellà de Llobregat, on the edge of Barcelona. After years in exile at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, the club finally got a real football ground: 40,000 seats, rectangular stands hugging the pitch and a roof covering the whole crowd.
The Tribuna Presidencial houses the VIP areas (President Club, Executive Club). The Tribuna faces it. The central blocks, closest to the pitch, are Category 1 Platinum. Behind the goals, the Gol Prat and the Gol Cornellà are the most affordable stands, and the loudest.
The Barcelona derby against FC Barcelona is the most awaited game of the year in Cornellà. Visits from Real Madrid, Atlético and Athletic Bilbao also draw the crowds.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna Presidencial
The main stand, with the dugouts, the President Club and the Executive Club. Blocks 100 to 102, 136 and 137 (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view; upstairs, blocks 200 and 246 are Category 1 Silver.
Tribuna
The stand opposite. Blocks 117 to 121 (Category 1 Platinum) are closest to the halfway line; upstairs, blocks 221 to 225 (Category 1 Silver) give an overall view for a little less.
Gol Prat
Behind the goal on the El Prat side. Blocks 126 to 131 below and 232 to 239 above, in Category 3: among the cheapest seats in the stadium.
Gol Cornellà
Behind the other goal, on the Cornellà side. Blocks 107 to 112 below and 207 to 214 above, in Category 3. The corners (Category 2) give a slightly wider view of the game.
FGC train to Cornellà Riera, a few minutes' walk from the stadium.
Metro line 5 to Cornellà Centre, then about 15 minutes on foot. Allow 30 to 40 minutes from central Barcelona.
Trains are packed right after the match: allow some extra time for the trip back to Barcelona.
Espanyol is Barcelona's other club, founded by Spaniards rather than foreigners, hence its name. The derby against Barça is the high point of the season: it is the most expensive and hardest ticket to get at the RCDE Stadium.
Four Copas del Rey (1929, 1940, 2000 and 2006) and two UEFA Cup finals (1988 and 2007), both lost on penalties: Espanyol have always loved the big cup occasions.
Ricardo Zamora, the legendary goalkeeper, Raúl Tamudo, the club's all-time top scorer, Iván de la Peña and Dani Jarque, the captain who died in 2009 and whose number 21 is honoured in the 21st minute of every match.
Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol was founded in 1900 by Barcelona students. Its fans are nicknamed "Periquitos", the parakeets, and its colours are blue and white.
For over 70 years, Espanyol played at the Sarrià stadium, demolished in 1997. The club then moved to the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, where it won two Copas del Rey.
In 2009, the opening of the Cornellà-El Prat stadium, now the RCDE Stadium, finally gave the Periquitos a home of their own, built purely for football.
Next up at the RCDE Stadium: Espanyol - Deportivo La Coruña on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 16:15. Seats from €30 on our comparison.
See tickets →Yes: Espanyol tickets are often much cheaper than Barça's, and the modern, covered RCDE Stadium gives a great view from everywhere. It is a chance to see LaLiga's big teams, Real Madrid and Barça included, in a stadium on a human scale.
The derby against Barça and Real Madrid's visit cost much more than the rest of the season. Right now, tickets start from €30 on our site. Behind the goals (Category 3), you can often find some of the cheapest seats in LaLiga.
The easiest way is the FGC train to Cornellà Riera station, a few minutes' walk from the stadium. You can also take metro line 5 to Cornellà Centre, then walk about 15 minutes. Allow 30 to 40 minutes from central Barcelona.
For the best view, choose the centre of the Tribuna Presidencial (blocks 100 to 102, 136, 137) or the Tribuna (117 to 121), in Category 1 Platinum. The upper levels (200s) stay close to the pitch thanks to the stadium's compact design.
Espanyol tickets are usually electronic or mobile and sent a few days before the match. The exact delivery method is shown on each offer.
