See ticketsSan Siro, officially the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, has been AC Milan's home since 1926. Originally built for the Rossoneri, it has been shared with Inter since 1947. Its spiral ramps and eleven concrete towers holding up the roof make it one of the most recognisable stadiums in the world.
With over 75,000 seats across three rings, it is Italy's biggest stadium. The main stand, on the red side, holds the Platinum seats and VIP areas. Opposite, the orange stand offers an equivalent side view. Behind the goals, the Curva Sud is the kingdom of Milan's ultras.
For big games, starting with the derby against Inter, San Siro offers a spectacle unique in Europe: giant choreographies, flares and the songs of 75,000 tifosi. The stadium is the subject of a rebuilding project led by both Milan clubs, but it remains one of the legendary venues of world football.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna d'Onore (rouge)
The main stand, with the VIP box, the press seats and the most prestigious seats (Platinum category). The best view in the stadium, at the centre of the pitch.
Tribuna Arancio
The large opposite side stand, over three rings. Its central seats offer a view similar to the main stand, often at a lower price in the upper rings.
Curva Sud
The end where Milan's ultras gather, with choreographies and songs throughout the match. The wildest atmosphere in the stadium.
Curva Nord
The opposite end, over three rings. The very high, steep third ring offers some of the cheapest seats in the stadium and usually hosts part of the away support.
Metro line M5 (lilac), San Siro Stadio station: right in front of the stadium, the easiest option from central Milan.
Tram 16 from the centre (Duomo): stops at the foot of the stadium, about a 30-minute ride.
Metro M1 (red), Lotto station: about a 15-minute walk, often less packed after the match.
The Derby della Madonnina against Inter, named after the golden statue watching over Milan's cathedral, is one of football's great rivalries. Both clubs share the same stadium, and the atmosphere with both ends full is unforgettable. Games against Juventus, Napoli and Roma are also highly sought after.
AC Milan have won seven Champions Leagues, an Italian record, and 19 Italian league titles, the last in 2022. The club plays Serie A every season (19 matches at San Siro), the Coppa Italia and often the Champions League, with big European nights at home.
Gianni Rivera, Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini embodied the club for decades. The Dutch trio Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard, then Shevchenko and Kaká, thrilled San Siro. On the French side, Jean-Pierre Papin, Marcel Desailly, 2022 champion Olivier Giroud, Théo Hernandez and Mike Maignan have marked recent history.
Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club was founded in 1899 by Englishmen living in Milan, including Herbert Kilpin, who chose red for the devils' fire and black for the fear they inspire. In 1908, a disagreement over signing foreign players led to a split that gave birth to Inter.
After the war, the Swedish trio Gre-No-Li (Gren, Nordahl, Liedholm) revived the club, which won the first European Cup by an Italian club in 1963. The 1960s of Gianni Rivera and Nereo Rocco were a first golden age.
Bought by Silvio Berlusconi in 1986, Milan became one of the greatest teams in history under Arrigo Sacchi and then Fabio Capello, with three European Cups between 1989 and 1994. Two more followed in 2003 and 2007 under Carlo Ancelotti. In 2022 the Rossoneri won the Italian title again after an eleven-year wait.
The Rossoneri's next match at San Siro is AC Milan - Inter Milan on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 20:45. Tickets start from €131 on our comparison.

Prices range from a few dozen euros for the third ring behind the goals (category 4) to several hundred for the main stand (Platinum). The derby against Inter and games against Juventus or Napoli cost much more. Right now, tickets start from €15 on our site.
In Italy, tickets are in the holder's name: ID is required at purchase and sometimes at the stadium gate. Season-ticket holders and Cuore Rossonero card holders get priority at official ticketing. Without a card, the resale sites we compare are the safest option, away from social media scams. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
San Siro is in western Milan. The easiest way is metro line M5 (lilac), San Siro Stadio station, right in front of the stadium. Tram 16 also links the city centre (Duomo) to the stadium in about 30 minutes.
Yes. The main stand offers Platinum seats, sky boxes and hospitality packages such as the Garden Experience or the Casa Milan Experience, with dining and private reception. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map.
AC Milan tickets are usually electronic or mobile, in the spectator's name. They are sent a few days before the match. Bring your ID for stadium entry.
The museum and stadium tour are usually closed or very limited on match days. Plan your visit for the day before or after and check opening times on the stadium's official site.
