See ticketsRB Leipzig play at the Red Bull Arena, built inside the old Zentralstadion, a 1956 stadium that could hold 100,000 spectators. Opened in 2004 and used at the 2006 World Cup, it holds around 47,000, right next to the pitch.
The stadium has four stands split into sectors: Sektor A and Sektor C along the pitch, with the VIP boxes on the Sektor A side, Sektor D behind one goal, and Sektor B, the end of the most passionate fans, with its standing terrace.
Driven by its results in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, the club regularly fills its stadium. The games against Bayern and Dortmund are the most in demand.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Sektor A
The main stand, with the dugouts and the VIP-Bereich. Lower blocks 16 to 22 (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view in the stadium.
Sektor C
The opposite side stand. Lower blocks 1, 2, 34 and 35 are Category 1 Platinum, upper blocks 101, 102 and 135 Category 1 Silver.
Sektor B
The end of Leipzig's most passionate fans, with its standing terrace. Guaranteed atmosphere, in Category 2.
Sektor D
Behind the other goal, in Category 2. The upper corners (Category 3) are among the cheapest seats in the stadium.
On foot from the main station (Leipzig Hbf): about 25 minutes through the city centre.
By tram to the Sportforum stops, a few minutes from the stadium. On match days, extra trams run.
On match days, the ticket often includes regional public transport: check the wording on your ticket.
A young club, Leipzig have no historic derby, but the fixtures against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, rivals for European places and the title, are the most anticipated. These are the most expensive tickets of the season.
Leipzig won the German Cup in 2022 and 2023, have twice been German runners-up and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2020. The club plays the Bundesliga every season (17 home games), the German Cup and often the Champions League.
Yussuf Poulsen, there since the lower divisions, Willi Orbán, Emil Forsberg, Timo Werner and Dani Olmo left their mark on the club. On the French side, Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konaté and Christopher Nkunku made their breakthrough there before joining big European clubs.
RB Leipzig was founded in 2009, when Red Bull took over the licence of SSV Markranstädt, a small fifth-tier club near Leipzig. Nicknamed "die Roten Bullen" (the Red Bulls), the club rose through the divisions at full speed.
Promoted to the Bundesliga in 2016, Leipzig finished runners-up in their very first season and reached the Champions League. In 2020, the club made the semi-finals of the competition under Julian Nagelsmann.
The first trophies came with the German Cup in 2022, then again in 2023. Leipzig have established themselves among Germany's top clubs, and the Red Bull Arena has become a regular stop for big European nights.
Leipzig's next match at the Red Bull Arena is RB Leipzig - FC Augsburg on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 15:30. Tickets start from €47 on our comparison.
