The history of Serie A

The Italian championship has been played as a single league, Serie A, since the 1929-30 season. Famous for its tactical culture, Serie A was the most prestigious league in the world in the 1980s and 1990s, the league of Maradona, Van Basten, Baggio and Zidane.

Italian stadiums offer a unique atmosphere, driven by the "curve", the ends where the ultras gather with their chants and tifos.

The clubs that shaped Serie A

Juventus are Italy's most successful club. AC Milan and Inter, who share San Siro, have ten European Cups and Champions Leagues between them. Napoli enjoyed their finest years with Diego Maradona, before winning the title again in 2023.

The Derby della Madonnina between Milan and Inter, the Derby della Capitale between Roma and Lazio and the Derby d'Italia between Inter and Juventus are the games not to miss.

Serie A tickets: your questions

How do I buy tickets for a Serie A match?

Choose a match from the list above, then your stand on the stadium map: we compare our partner resellers' offers for you. Click the offer that suits you to complete your purchase on the reseller's website. Tickets are then sent by email or to your phone, usually a few days before the match.

How can I watch a Serie A match in VIP?

Most Serie A clubs offer hospitality packages: boxes, lounges with dining and central seats. On each match page, these offers appear in the "VIP hospitality" zone of the map when our partners have them. Expect to pay much more than for a standard seat, but the welcome, the meal and the best view are included.

What budget should I plan for a Serie A match?

Right now, Serie A tickets start from €15 on our comparison, and for half of the matches you can find seats for €55 or less. Big-club clashes and derbies cost much more: up to €206 for the cheapest seat of the most popular match. Remember to add travel and, depending on the reseller, service fees.

What happens if a match is cancelled or postponed?

If a match is postponed, your ticket usually remains valid for the new date. If it is cancelled, the reseller refunds you or offers a solution according to its terms of sale. These terms vary from one reseller to another: read them on its website before paying. We do not sell tickets ourselves, we compare offers.

Can I trust the resellers listed?

We only list established resellers specialising in sports ticketing, each offering its own buyer guarantee. This is a secondary market: prices can be higher than the ticket's face value. Payment and delivery take place directly with the reseller, whose terms are shown on its website.

Which Serie A matches are the most expensive?

Based on our partners' current prices, the most expensive matches are: Cagliari - AS Roma (from €206), Cagliari - Napoli (from €206), Cagliari - AC Milan (from €206). These are usually big-club clashes and derbies.
