See ticketsBayern have played at the Allianz Arena since 2005. Built in the north of Munich, in the Fröttmaning district, the stadium replaced the 1972 Olympic Stadium. Its façade of inflatable panels glows red on Bayern match nights, making it one of the most recognisable stadiums in the world.
The ground holds around 75,000 seats over three very steep tiers close to the pitch. The Südkurve, behind one goal, is the heart of the support, with standing places in the lower tier. The Haupttribüne houses the Business Seats and boxes, the Gegentribüne faces it, and the Nordkurve hosts the away section high up.
Bayern have several hundred thousand members, and almost every match is a sell-out. Games against Dortmund or Leverkusen and big Champions League nights are the most in demand.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Haupttribüne
The main stand, with the dugouts, the Business Seats in the middle tier and the boxes. The central blocks (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view in the stadium.
Gegentribüne
The opposite side stand, over three tiers. The lower and middle tiers are Category 1, the upper tier Categories 1 and 2, often a little cheaper.
Südkurve
The Bayern fans' end, with standing places in the lower tier. Songs, flags and tifos throughout the match: the liveliest atmosphere at the Allianz Arena.
Nordkurve
The opposite end, with standing places at the bottom. The away section is in the upper tier (blocks 340 to 347).
U-Bahn U6, Fröttmaning station: about a 15-minute walk to the stadium along the esplanade, and around 20 minutes from Marienplatz.
On match days, the ticket often includes Munich public transport: check the wording on your ticket.
By car: A9 motorway, Fröttmaning exit, with a large multi-storey car park next to the stadium. Expect queues when leaving.
The great rival is Borussia Dortmund: "der Klassiker" is the most anticipated game of the season in Germany. The Munich derby against TSV 1860 and the Bavarian derby against Nuremberg are steeped in history, and title battles with Leverkusen have become fierce. These are the most sought-after tickets.
Bayern hold the record for German league titles and German Cup wins. In Europe, they have won six Champions Leagues (1974, 1975, 1976, 2001, 2013 and 2020), including two historic trebles in 2013 and 2020. They play the Bundesliga every season (17 home games), the German Cup and the Champions League.
Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Sepp Maier, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthäus, Oliver Kahn, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski wrote the club's history. Bayern also has a strong French connection: Bixente Lizarazu, Willy Sagnol, Franck Ribéry, Kingsley Coman and Dayot Upamecano all left their mark.
FC Bayern was founded on 27 February 1900 by members of a Munich gymnastics club, led by Franz John. The club won its first German title in 1932, under president Kurt Landauer, before the Nazi regime forced him into exile.
Absent from the first Bundesliga season in 1963, Bayern were promoted in 1965 with an exceptional generation: Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Sepp Maier. The club won three European Cups in a row from 1974 to 1976 and moved into Munich's Olympic Stadium.
Since then, Bayern have dominated German football. They left the Olympic Stadium for the Allianz Arena in 2005 and enjoyed their finest European years with the trebles of 2013 and 2020. Today, they are one of the most powerful and most followed clubs in the world.

Der Klassiker against Dortmund and big Champions League nights are the most expensive. Right now, tickets start from €102 on our site. Standing places and the upper tier of the ends are the cheapest, the centre of the Haupttribüne and the Business Seats the most expensive.
Official ticketing is almost entirely reserved for season-ticket holders and club members, and matches sell out. Without a membership, the resale sites we compare and VIP packages are the safest option: avoid sales on social media, where scams are common. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
Take the U-Bahn U6 to Fröttmaning station, about a 15-minute walk from the stadium. From Marienplatz, allow around 20 minutes. By car, the A9 motorway (Fröttmaning exit) leads to the stadium car park.
Yes: the Business Seats in the Haupttribüne, with lounge access, and private boxes. When our partners offer them, they appear on the match map.
Bayern tickets are usually electronic or mobile and sent a few days before the match. The exact delivery method is shown on each offer.
