See ticketsVfB Stuttgart play at the MHPArena, the former Neckarstadion opened in 1933, on the banks of the Neckar in the Bad Cannstatt district. Renamed several times and turned into a football stadium between 2009 and 2011, it holds around 60,000 for league games.
The stadium has four stands: the Haupttribüne and the opposite stand along the pitch, over two tiers, and two ends. The Cannstatter Kurve is home to VfB's most passionate fans, with its standing terrace, facing the Untertürkheimer Kurve.
Since the club's return among Germany's best, tickets are in high demand. The Südderby against Bayern and Champions League nights are the most sought-after.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Haupttribüne
The main stand, with the dugouts and the Loge. The lower blocks (Category 1 Premium) offer the best view in the stadium, upper blocks 19 to 30 are Category 1.
Gegentribüne
The opposite side stand, over two tiers. Lower blocks 51 to 55 are Category 1 Premium, upper blocks 56 to 60 Category 1.
Cannstatter Kurve
The end of VfB's fans, with its standing terrace. Guaranteed atmosphere, in Category 2.
Untertürkheimer Kurve
The opposite end, in Category 2. Its many blocks are among the cheapest seats in the stadium.
S-Bahn S1 to NeckarPark station, then about 10 minutes on foot to the stadium.
On match days, the U11 line links the main station (Stuttgart Hbf) to the stadium.
On match days, the ticket often includes regional public transport: check the wording on your ticket.
The Südderby against Bayern Munich is the most anticipated fixture of the season, and the Baden-Württemberg derby against Karlsruher SC remains a historic rivalry. The games against Bayern and Dortmund are the most expensive tickets.
Stuttgart have been German champions five times (1950, 1952, 1984, 1992 and 2007) and have won four German Cups, the latest in 2025. The club plays the Bundesliga every season (17 home games), the German Cup and often a European competition.
Karlheinz Förster, Guido Buchwald, Jürgen Klinsmann, the 1990s "magic triangle" of Balakov, Bobic and Élber, then Mario Gómez left their mark on the club. On the French side, Benjamin Pavard made his name there before becoming a world champion in 2018.
VfB Stuttgart came from the 1912 merger of two clubs, the oldest founded in 1893. Nicknamed "die Roten" (the Reds), it became German champions in 1950 and 1952, then won the German Cup in 1954 and 1958.
A founding member of the Bundesliga in 1963, Stuttgart won the title in 1984 and 1992, then the 1997 German Cup with its "magic triangle". The 2007 title, driven by a young generation, remains one of the fans' finest memories.
After two relegations, in 2016 and 2019, the club returned to the top: German runners-up in 2024, it went back to the Champions League and then won the German Cup in 2025.
