See ticketsLa Rosaleda is one of LaLiga's oldest grounds: opened in 1941 on the banks of the Guadalmedina, a short walk from Málaga's historic centre. Over 30,000 seats, four stands in stacked tiers and an Andalusian atmosphere that never lets up.
The Preferencia and the Tribuna face each other along the pitch. Their central sections, low and close to the grass, are Category 1 Platinum, along with the boxes and VIP areas. The upper tier of the sidelines is Category 1. Behind the goals, the Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur (Category 2) offer the cheapest seats.
Back in LaLiga, Málaga host Real Madrid, Barça and Atlético this season. The Andalusian derby against Real Betis and Sevilla's visit are among the most awaited games at La Rosaleda.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Preferencia
The sideline stand with the Área VIP Preferencia and Bizanga. Blocks 124 to 127, 235 to 242 and 425 to 430, along with the boxes, are Category 1 Platinum; at the very top, the 500s are Category 1.
Tribuna
The stand opposite, with the Área VIP Tribuna, the Palco de Honor and the Presidencial area. Blocks 101 to 104 and 201 to 208 (Category 1 Platinum) give the best view of the game.
Fondo Norte
Behind the goal, on the left of the map. Blocks 109 to 117 at the bottom, then the 200s, 300s, 400s and 500s going up, all Category 2: the most affordable seats in the stadium.
Fondo Sur
Behind the other goal. Blocks 110 to 118 below and 218 to 230 above, in Category 2, like the upper 400 and 500 tiers.
On foot: about 20 minutes from the historic centre, along the Guadalmedina river.
EMT city buses: several lines stop near the stadium.
From María Zambrano station or the airport, take a bus or a taxi to the stadium.
The club's nickname comes from boquerones, the anchovies that are Málaga's culinary emblem. The blue and white striped shirt also earns the players the name "Albicelestes".
In 2013, in their very first Champions League, Málaga reached the quarter-finals and were knocked out by Dortmund only in the final minute. The finest chapter in the club's history.
Isco, Santi Cazorla, Joaquín, Nacho Monreal and Ruud van Nistelrooy have all worn the Málaga shirt. The club also won the Intertoto Cup in 2002.
Today's Málaga CF was born in 1948 as Club Atlético Malagueño, before taking over from CD Málaga, which folded in the 1990s.
The club climbed quickly through the divisions, won the Intertoto Cup in 2002, then enjoyed its golden age in the early 2010s, qualifying for the Champions League and reaching the quarter-finals in 2013.
After tough years in the second division, Málaga are back in LaLiga and La Rosaleda once again welcomes Spain's biggest clubs.
See you at La Rosaleda for Málaga - Racing Santander on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 14:00. Tickets from €60 on our comparison.
See tickets →Yes: La Rosaleda is right in the city, about twenty minutes' walk from the historic centre and Malagueta beach. A weekend match combines easily with a few days in Málaga, even in winter thanks to the mild climate.
Games against Real Madrid, Barça, Atlético, Betis and Sevilla are much more expensive than the rest of the season. Right now, tickets start from €39 on our site. Behind the goals (Category 2), prices are at their lowest.
The stadium is about a 20-minute walk from the historic centre, following the Guadalmedina river. Several EMT city bus lines stop nearby. From María Zambrano station, take a bus or a taxi.
For the best view, aim for the centre of the Preferencia (blocks 124 to 127, 235 to 242) or the Tribuna (101 to 104, 201 to 208), in Category 1 Platinum. For atmosphere and low prices, head to the Fondos behind the goals.
Málaga tickets are usually electronic or mobile and sent a few days before the match. The exact delivery method is shown on each offer.
