See ticketsBologna play at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, opened in 1927 as the Littoriale. With its brick Maratona tower, inspired by the city's medieval towers, it is one of Italy's most recognisable stadiums. It hosted matches at the 1934 and 1990 World Cups.
The stadium holds around 36,000 seats, laid out in an oval around a former track. The Tribuna Coperta, the only covered stand, holds the central seats and VIP areas. Opposite, the Distinti offer a side view at gentler prices. The Rossoblù ultras fill the Curva Bulgarelli, named after Giacomo Bulgarelli, facing the Curva Sanluca.
On match nights, Via Andrea Costa fills with fans in red and blue. Since the club's return to the Champions League in 2024, the Dall'Ara is often sold out, especially against Inter, Milan, Juventus or Fiorentina.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna Coperta
The only covered stand, with the Poltrone Gold and Platino armchairs in the centre and the VIP areas. The most comfortable view in the stadium.
Distinti
The large opposite side stand. The central Distinti offer a very good view, the side blocks are more affordable.
Curva Bulgarelli
The Bologna ultras' end, named after legend Giacomo Bulgarelli. The liveliest atmosphere at the Dall'Ara.
Curva San Luca
The opposite end, facing the San Luca hill, which also hosts the away section. Among the cheapest seats.
On foot: about 25 minutes from Piazza Maggiore, via Via Saragozza or Via Andrea Costa.
Buses 14 and 21 from the city centre, with extra services on match days.
From Bologna Centrale station: bus or taxi (about 15 minutes), as parking is limited around the stadium.
The Derby dell'Appennino against Fiorentina is the hottest game of the season. Regional clashes with Parma and Sassuolo, in Emilia-Romagna, are also eagerly awaited, as are visits from the big northern clubs.
Bologna have won seven Italian titles, six in the 1920s and 1930s, when they were "the team that made the world tremble", and the last in 1964. They also have three Coppa Italia trophies, including in 2025, and the 1998 Intertoto Cup. They play Serie A every season (19 home games).
Angelo Schiavio, Giacomo Bulgarelli and Helmut Haller defined the great years. Later, Roberto Baggio, Giuseppe Signori and Marco Di Vaio lit up the Dall'Ara. Winger Riccardo Orsolini and coach Thiago Motta, who took the club back to the Champions League, belong to recent history.
Bologna Football Club was founded in 1909 by a group of students, led by Austrian Emilio Arnstein. Its red and blue colours are said to come from the uniform of a Swiss college. The players are nicknamed the Rossoblù, and the city's people the Felsinei, after Bologna's ancient name.
Between the wars, Bologna dominated Italian and European football, with five titles and two Mitropa Cups. The seventh Scudetto, in 1964, was decided in a historic play-off against Inter, the only one in Serie A history.
After difficult decades, with two bankruptcies and several relegations, the club was reborn under president Joey Saputo from 2014. Qualification for the 2024-25 Champions League, the first since 1964, followed by the 2025 Coppa Italia, restored pride to the whole city.
The Rossoblù's next home game: Bologna - Monza on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 15:00. From €20 on our comparison.
