See ticketsThe Estádio do Dragão has been FC Porto's home since 2003. Built for Euro 2004, it holds just over 50,000 seats, all covered, and its stands sit very close to the pitch, creating an impressive atmosphere on big-match nights.
The two sidelines hold the best seats: on the first level, the centre (blocks 01B to 03A, 31A and 32 on one side, 15A to 19A on the other) is Category 1 Platinum, and the sides and corners Gold. Upstairs, the centre is Silver and the sides Category 1. Behind the goals, the stands are Category 2.
The clássico against Benfica and Sporting's visit are the most sought-after tickets of the season. Champions League nights at the Dragão are also a highlight.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Latérale (blocs 01B à 04C, 30C à 32)
The sideline at the top of the map. On the first level, blocks 01B, 02, 03A, 31A and 32 are Category 1 Platinum, 04C, 30C and the corners Gold; upstairs, Media, 36 and 38 are Silver, the others Category 1.
Latérale (blocs 14C à 20C)
The opposite sideline. Blocks 15A to 19A are Category 1 Platinum, 14C, 20C and the corners Gold; upstairs, 45, 46F and 47 are Silver, the others Category 1.
Derrière le but (blocs 06 à 12)
Behind the goal, on the left of the map: blocks 07 to 11, the 06 and 12 corners and the upper H strip, all Category 2.
Derrière le but (blocs 22 à 28)
Behind the other goal: blocks 23 to 27, the 22 and 28 corners and the upper H strip, in Category 2. These are often the cheapest seats in the stadium.
Metro: "Estádio do Dragão" station, right outside the stadium, served by several lines.
From central Porto (Trindade), allow about fifteen minutes by metro.
Trains are packed right after the match: take your time or wait a little before heading back.
The dragon on the crest gave the club its nickname and the stadium its name. FC Porto embodies the pride of the city and of northern Portugal against the Lisbon clubs.
FC Porto won the European Cup in 1987 and the Champions League in 2004, with José Mourinho on the bench. They also have two UEFA Cup / Europa League titles, in 2003 and 2011.
Deco, Ricardo Carvalho, Radamel Falcao or James Rodríguez: FC Porto is known for revealing talents before they shine at Europe's biggest clubs.
Futebol Clube do Porto was founded in 1893, making it one of the oldest clubs in Portugal. It became one of the country's big three alongside Benfica and Sporting.
For more than fifty years, the club played at the Antas stadium, where it enjoyed its first great European nights and won the European Cup in 1987.
In 2003, it moved to the nearby Estádio do Dragão and won the Champions League in its very first season in the new stadium.
Next up at the Dragão: FC Porto - Estoril Praia on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 20:30. Tickets from €44 on our comparison.
See tickets →Easily: the metro links the historic centre to the stadium in about fifteen minutes. A weekend match combines very well with two or three days exploring the Ribeira, the bridges over the Douro and the port wine cellars.
Matches against Benfica and Sporting are much more expensive than the others. Right now, tickets start from €33 on our site. Behind the goals (Category 2), you will usually find the lowest prices.
The Porto metro stops right outside the stadium, at "Estádio do Dragão" station, served by several lines. From the city centre, allow about fifteen minutes.
For the best view, choose the centre of a sideline on the first level (blocks 01B, 02, 32 or 16, 17B, 18), in Category 1 Platinum. Upstairs, the central Silver blocks give an overall view for a little less.
FC Porto tickets are usually electronic or mobile and sent a few days before the match. The exact delivery method is shown on each offer.
