See ticketsInter have played at San Siro since 1947, sharing it with AC Milan. Nerazzurri fans like to call it "Giuseppe Meazza", after the legendary striker who wore both shirts but remains above all an Inter icon. Its spiral towers and red roof make it a Milan landmark.
The stadium has over 75,000 seats across three rings. For Inter, the heart beats in the Curva Nord, home of the Nerazzurri ultras, famous for their giant choreographies. The red and orange side stands hold the most comfortable seats, with VIP areas in the main stand.
Champions League nights and the derby against AC Milan fill San Siro to the last seat. Both clubs are working on a new stadium project, but for now San Siro remains the stage for Inter's big games.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Curva Nord
The end of Inter's ultras, famous for its giant choreographies and songs. Where the Nerazzurri atmosphere is at its most intense.
Tribuna d'Onore (rouge)
The main stand, with the Platinum seats, the press box and the VIP areas. The best central view in the stadium.
Tribuna Arancio
The opposite side stand, over three rings, with a view similar to the main stand and often lower prices in the upper rings.
Curva Sud
The opposite end, over three rings. Its very high third ring offers some of the cheapest seats and often hosts away fans.
Metro line M5 (lilac), San Siro Stadio station: right in front of the stadium.
Tram 16 from the Duomo: stops at the foot of the stadium, about a 30-minute ride.
Metro M1 (red), Lotto station: about a 15-minute walk, often less packed after the match.
The Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan is the high point of the season, in a San Siro split in two. The "Derby d'Italia" against Juventus, the country's oldest rivalry between two giants, is just as electric. Games against Napoli and Roma also draw big crowds.
Inter have won 20 Italian league titles, earning a second star in 2024, three Champions Leagues (1964, 1965 and 2010) and nine Coppa Italia trophies. In 2010, under José Mourinho, the club completed a historic league, cup and Champions League treble, a first for an Italian club.
Giuseppe Meazza, Sandro Mazzola, Giacinto Facchetti and record appearance-maker Javier Zanetti are the great Nerazzurri figures. Ronaldo, Lothar Matthäus, Diego Milito and Lautaro Martínez lit up San Siro. On the French side, Youri Djorkaeff, Benjamin Pavard and Marcus Thuram won fans' hearts.
Football Club Internazionale Milano was born in 1908 from a split within Milan: some members wanted to open the club to foreign players, hence the name "Internazionale". The black and blue colours (nerazzurri) evoke the night and the starry sky.
In the 1960s, Helenio Herrera's "Grande Inter", masters of catenaccio, dominated Europe with back-to-back European Cups in 1964 and 1965. The club is the only one never to have played in Italy's second division.
After harder years, Inter won five titles in a row between 2006 and 2010, crowned by the 2010 treble. The club returned to the top with the 2021 and 2024 titles, the latter earning its second star.
