Premier League · Season 2026-2027
Brighton & Hove Albion, nicknamed "The Seagulls", has established itself in just a few years as one of the smartest clubs in the Premier League, even reaching European football. It plays at the Amex Stadium, a modern ground of nearly 32,000 seats set in the South Downs hills at Falmer.

See ticketsThe Amex Stadium, opened in 2011 at Falmer, a few kilometres from central Brighton, ended fourteen years of wandering for the club. Its arched roof, inspired by the surrounding South Downs hills, makes it one of the most elegant grounds in England.
The stadium is built around four stands: the West Stand, the three-tier main stand with the boxes and VIP lounges, the East Stand opposite, the North Stand behind the goal, where the most passionate fans sing, and the South Stand, which hosts away fans. With nearly 32,000 seats, the atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented.
Since Brighton reached the Premier League in 2017, the Amex has been almost full for every match. Tickets are therefore in demand, especially for the Crystal Palace derby and visits from the big clubs.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
West Stand
The main and tallest stand, with the dugouts. Its middle tier and boxes house most of the hospitality areas.
East Stand
Two-tier side stand opposite the West Stand. A great view of the pitch and, from the top, of the South Downs hills.
North Stand
Behind the north goal, home to Brighton's loudest fans. The ideal spot for atmosphere.
South Stand
Behind the south goal. Away fans are seated here, in the section next to the East Stand (blocks S1A to S1C).
Falmer station: right next to the stadium, about 10 minutes by train from Brighton station. Extra trains run on match days.
Shuttle buses from central Brighton: about 20 minutes, with regular departures before and after the match.
From London: about an hour by train from London Victoria or London Bridge to Brighton, then change for Falmer.
The great rival is Crystal Palace: the M23 derby, named after the motorway linking the two cities, was born in the 1970s and remains the most electric game of the season. Visits from big clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal are also highly sought after.
Brighton play the Premier League (19 matches at the Amex), the FA Cup, in which they reached the 1983 final, and the Carabao Cup. In 2023-24 the Seagulls played European football for the first time, in the Europa League, a milestone for a club that nearly went under in the late 1990s.
Peter Ward, the 1970s goalscorer, Bobby Zamora and Glenn Murray, the top scorers of the modern era, and academy-raised captain Lewis Dunk are adored by fans. Brighton also made its name by developing players such as Moisés Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister and Kaoru Mitoma.
Brighton & Hove Albion was founded in 1901 and soon settled at the Goldstone Ground in Hove, its home for nearly a century. The club reached the top flight in 1979 and enjoyed its greatest moment in 1983 with an FA Cup final against Manchester United, lost after a replay.
The 1990s were a nightmare: the Goldstone Ground was sold in 1997, the club nearly went under and had to play at Gillingham, over 100 kilometres away, then at a small athletics ground, Withdean. Fans campaigned for years for a new stadium.
The opening of the Amex in 2011 marked the rebirth. Under chairman and lifelong fan Tony Bloom, Brighton reached the Premier League in 2017 and became a benchmark for recruitment and style, even playing in the Europa League in 2023-24.
The Seagulls' next home game: Brighton - Brentford on Sunday, 8 November 2026 at 14:00. Seats start from €59 on our comparison.

The price depends mainly on the opponent: the Crystal Palace derby and visits from big clubs are much more expensive. Right now, tickets start from €59 on our site (per ticket, excluding fees). The stands behind the goals and the top of the East Stand are often the most affordable.
Official ticketing gives priority to season-ticket holders and members, and the Amex is almost always sold out. Without a membership, turn to hospitality packages or the resale sites we compare: it's the safest option, far more than social media listings, where scams are common. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
The Amex Stadium is at Falmer, north-east of Brighton. Falmer station is right next to the stadium, about 10 minutes by train from Brighton station. Shuttle buses also leave from the city centre on match days.
Yes. The middle tier of the West Stand and its private boxes house most hospitality packages, with more lounges in the East and South Stands. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map.
Brighton tickets are usually mobile, shown on your phone at the turnstiles. They are sent a few days before the match, sometimes only the day before. The delivery method is shown on each offer.
No, guided tours are generally not offered on match days. To go behind the scenes at the Amex, book the tour for another day and check dates on the club's official site.
