See ticketsThe Stadio Olimpico, at the foot of Monte Mario on the banks of the Tiber, has been AS Roma's home since 1953. Built within the Foro Italico sports complex, it hosted the 1960 Olympics, the 1990 World Cup final and several European Cup finals. Roma share it with Lazio.
With over 70,000 seats, it is one of Europe's biggest stadiums. The Tribuna Monte Mario, on the main side, holds the official seats, the press and VIP areas. Opposite, the Tribuna Tevere offers a more affordable side view. Behind the goals, the Curva Sud is the temple of the Romanisti, famous for its choreographies.
On derby nights against Lazio and big European games, the Olimpico turns into a sea of yellow and red. Seats in the Curva Sud are prized by the most passionate fans, while the side stands offer a spectacular overall view.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna Monte Mario
The main stand, with the presidential box, the press and VIP areas. Its central seats offer the best view in the stadium.
Tribuna Tevere
The side stand opposite Monte Mario, on the Tiber side. A fine overall view of the pitch, often at a gentler price, especially higher up.
Curva Sud
The end of Roma's tifosi, famous for its giant choreographies and chants. The most intense atmosphere at the Olimpico.
Curva Nord
The opposite end, home of Lazio fans at their games. For Roma, it often hosts the away section and more affordable seats.
Tram 2 from Piazzale Flaminio (metro A, Flaminio station) to the Piazza Mancini terminus, then about a 15-minute walk across the Tiber.
Bus 32 from Ottaviano station (metro A): it stops near the Foro Italico, a few minutes from the stadium.
By car, parking is very limited around the Foro Italico on match nights: use public transport or a taxi instead.
The Derby della Capitale against Lazio has divided the Eternal City since 1929. Both clubs share the same stadium, each with its own end: the Curva Sud for Roma, the Curva Nord for Lazio. Games against Juventus, Napoli and the Milan clubs are also eagerly awaited.
Roma have won three Italian titles (1942, 1983 and 2001) and nine Coppa Italia trophies. In Europe, they won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1961 and the first-ever Europa Conference League in 2022. They play Serie A every season (19 home games), the Coppa Italia and often European competition.
Francesco Totti, "il Capitano", spent his whole career at Roma and remains the record appearance-maker and top scorer. Daniele De Rossi, Agostino Di Bartolomei, Bruno Conti, Falcão, Giuseppe Giannini, Gabriel Batistuta and Rudi Völler also won fans' hearts. French defender Philippe Mexès left fond memories too.
Associazione Sportiva Roma was born in 1927 from the merger of three clubs in the capital, aiming to create a great Roman club able to rival those of the North. Its yellow and red colours are those of the city, and the she-wolf from the legend of Romulus and Remus adorns its crest.
The first title came in 1942. In the 1980s, Nils Liedholm's Roma, led by Falcão and Bruno Conti, won the 1983 league and reached the 1984 European Cup final, lost on penalties to Liverpool in their own stadium.
In 2001, driven by Totti, Batistuta and Montella, Roma won their third Scudetto. More recently, under José Mourinho, they won the 2022 Europa Conference League and reached the 2023 Europa League final, European runs that set the Olimpico alight.

The Lazio derby and games against Juventus, Napoli or the Milan clubs are the most expensive. Right now, tickets start from €49 on our site. The ends and the upper Tribuna Tevere are usually the most affordable seats, the central Tribuna Monte Mario the most expensive.
Tickets are in the holder's name in Italy and ID is required at purchase and at the gate. Season-ticket holders and club members get priority for big games. Without a membership, the resale sites we compare are the safest option, away from social media scams. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
The stadium is at the Foro Italico, in north Rome. From Flaminio station (metro A), take tram 2 to Piazza Mancini, then walk about 15 minutes. Bus 32 from Ottaviano station (metro A) also stops near the stadium.
Yes. The Tribuna Monte Mario hosts the VIP box, the Onore areas and private boxes, with hospitality packages including dining. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map.
Roma tickets are usually electronic, in the spectator's name, and sent a few days before the match. Bring your ID for entry.
Tours are generally not offered on match days. Use your trip to explore the nearby Foro Italico instead, and book the stadium tour on another day.
