See ticketsThe Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, long known as San Paolo, has been Napoli's home since 1959. It stands in the Fuorigrotta district, west of the city, and was renamed in 2020 in tribute to the greatest player in the club's history, a few days after his death.
With around 54,700 seats, it is one of the biggest stadiums in Italy. The Tribuna, on the Posillipo side, holds the central seats and VIP areas. Opposite, the Distinti offer a more affordable side view. Behind the goals, the Curva A and Curva B are the domain of Napoli's ultras, among the most passionate in Europe.
On big nights the stadium vibrates like nowhere else: songs in praise of Maradona, flares and giant tifos. Since the 2023 and 2025 titles, tickets for Napoli games have become highly sought after.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Tribuna
The main stand, on the Posillipo side, with the central Platinum seats, the press and the VIP areas. The most comfortable view in the stadium.
Distinti
The large opposite side stand. Its central seats offer a very good view, and the upper part is more affordable.
Curva A
One of the two ends of Napoli's ultras, where fans sing and jump throughout the match. An unforgettable atmosphere.
Curva B
The opposite end, just as fervent, with its tifos and songs in praise of Maradona. Seats in the ends are the cheapest in the stadium.
Metro line 2, Campi Flegrei station: about a 5-minute walk from the stadium, with trains from Napoli Centrale and Piazza Garibaldi.
Cumana railway, Mostra station: right next to the stadium, handy from the Montesanto area.
Buses from the centre: several routes serve Fuorigrotta, but traffic is heavy on match nights.
Games against Juventus, symbol of the wealthy North against the passionate South, are the hottest of the season. The "Derby del Sole" against Roma pits the two great cities of southern Italy against each other. Visits from Inter and AC Milan also sell out.
Napoli have won four Italian league titles: two with Maradona in 1987 and 1990, then two recently, in 2023 and 2025. The club also has six Coppa Italia trophies and the 1989 UEFA Cup. It plays Serie A every season (19 home games), the Coppa Italia and often the Champions League.
Diego Maradona remains a god in Naples, where his face is painted on walls across the city. Careca, Ciro Ferrara, record appearance-maker Marek Hamšík and all-time top scorer Dries Mertens also won the tifosi's hearts. More recently, Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Kalidou Koulibaly were adored at the Maradona.
Associazione Calcio Napoli was founded in 1926 through the merger of several city clubs. For decades Napoli was a hugely popular club without titles, driven by exceptional passion but dominated by the northern sides.
Everything changed in 1984 with the arrival of Diego Maradona, signed for a record fee. With him, Napoli won their first two league titles, in 1987 and 1990, as well as the 1989 UEFA Cup. Those years remain the golden age of an entire city.
After bankruptcy in 2004 and a restart in the third tier under president Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club climbed step by step back to the top. In 2023 Napoli won a third Scudetto, 33 years after the last, then a fourth in 2025.

Prices depend mainly on the opponent: Juventus, Inter, AC Milan and Roma are the most expensive games. Right now, tickets start from €25 on our site. The ends are usually the most affordable seats, the central Tribuna the most expensive.
In Italy, tickets are in the holder's name and ID is required at purchase and at the gate. Season-ticket holders get priority, and big games sell out fast. Without a season ticket, the resale sites we compare are the safest option: avoid sales on social media, where scams are common. Our partners are selected for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or a solution.
The stadium is in Fuorigrotta, west of Naples. Campi Flegrei station (metro line 2) is about a 5-minute walk away, and Mostra station (Cumana line) is also close by. From the centre, allow about 20 minutes by public transport.
Yes, the central Tribuna offers premium seats and hospitality packages with dining. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map, alongside regular tickets.
Napoli tickets are usually electronic, in the spectator's name, and sent a few days before the match. Don't forget your ID to enter the stadium.
Tours are generally not offered on match days. To discover the stadium and its murals dedicated to Maradona, plan another date and check the club's official site.
