See ticketsVilla Park has been Aston Villa's home since 1897, making it one of the oldest grounds in England's top flight. Located in Aston, north of Birmingham city centre, it hosted games at the 1966 World Cup and Euro 1996, as well as many FA Cup semi-finals.
The stadium has four stands: the Holte End, a huge stand behind the goal where Villa's most vocal fans gather, the Trinity Road Stand, the main stand with the VIP areas, the Doug Ellis Stand opposite, and the North Stand behind the other goal. With around 42,600 seats, the atmosphere is dense and loud, especially on European nights.
The club plans to modernise and expand Villa Park, starting with the North Stand, to welcome more fans. Since the Villans' return to the top of the table and to European competition, tickets are increasingly sought after.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
Holte End
Villa Park's iconic stand, over two tiers behind the south goal. The heart of Villa's support and the best spot for atmosphere.
Trinity Road Stand
The main stand, over three tiers, with the dugouts, the directors' box and most of the hospitality areas.
Doug Ellis Stand
Side stand opposite the Trinity Road Stand, named after the club's former chairman. Away fans are seated in its corner next to the North Stand.
North Stand
Behind the north goal, over two tiers. Quieter than the Holte End and often a little cheaper.
Witton station (Cross-City line from Birmingham New Street): about a 5-minute walk from the stadium, the most practical option.
Aston station: about a 15-minute walk, often less busy after the match.
Buses from Birmingham city centre: several routes serve Witton and Aston in 20 to 30 minutes on match days.
The big date is the Second City Derby against Birmingham City, the city's other club. Games against Midlands neighbours West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton are also eagerly awaited. In the Premier League, visits from big clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea push prices up.
Aston Villa play the Premier League every year (19 matches at Villa Park), the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, a competition the club has won five times. Back at the top under Unai Emery, Villa also play in Europe, with big European nights at home.
Peter Withe, scorer in the 1982 European Cup final, Gordon Cowans, Paul McGrath, Dwight Yorke, Gareth Barry and Jack Grealish have shaped the club's history. Today Ollie Watkins, John McGinn and goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez are the faces of Villa, alongside French players like Boubacar Kamara and Lucas Digne.
Aston Villa was founded in 1874 by members of a cricket club linked to a Methodist chapel in Aston. In 1888 the club was one of the twelve founders of the Football League, the world's first football league, an idea that came from Villa director William McGregor.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Villa was one of England's most successful clubs. It won seven league titles in total, the last in 1981, and reached its peak in 1982 by beating Bayern Munich in the European Cup final.
After harder years, including relegation in 2016, the club came back up in 2019 and re-established itself among the country's best teams under Unai Emery, returning to the Champions League in 2024 for the first time in over forty years.

The price depends on the match and the seat location. Games against Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea cost much more than the rest. Right now, the first offers are at €25 on our site (per ticket, excluding fees). The North Stand and the top of the Doug Ellis Stand are often the most affordable areas.
Official ticketing gives priority to season-ticket holders and club members, and big games are rarely open to the general public. Without a membership, turn to hospitality packages or the resale sites we compare. It's the safest option: avoid sales on social media or between individuals, where scams are common. Our partners are chosen for their reliability and guarantee their tickets: if there's a problem, their customer service offers a refund or an alternative.
Villa Park is in Aston, north of Birmingham city centre. Witton station, on the Cross-City line from Birmingham New Street, is about a 5-minute walk from the stadium.
Yes. The Trinity Road Stand hosts most of the hospitality areas and boxes, with more boxes in the Doug Ellis Stand and the North Stand. Our partners' VIP offers appear on each match map, alongside regular tickets.
Villa Park tickets are usually mobile tickets, shown on your phone at the turnstiles. They are sent a few days before the match, sometimes the day before. The delivery method is shown on each offer.
Guided tours are generally not offered on match days. To go behind the scenes at Villa Park, book your tour for another day and check dates on the club's official site.
