See ticketsAthletic Club play at San Mamés, a modern stadium opened in 2013 on the banks of the Bilbao estuary, right next to the old San Mamés nicknamed "la Catedral". It holds around 53,000 fans, all under cover, in four stands very close to the pitch.
The Tribuna Principal and Tribuna Este run along the pitch: their central lower blocks (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view. The Tribuna Norte and Tribuna Sur are behind the goals, with the most affordable seats.
Tickets are sought after all season, especially for the Basque derby against Real Sociedad and games against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
The main stand, with the dugouts and the boxes. Blocks 101, 102, 127 and 128 (Category 1 Platinum) offer the best view, the top of the stand (300s) is more affordable.
The opposite side stand. Blocks 113 to 116 at the bottom and 216 to 219 in the middle (Category 1 Platinum) are closest to the halfway line.
Behind the goal, the Tribuna Norte is home to many of the most passionate fans. Category 2 seats, among the cheapest in the stadium.
Behind the other goal, the Tribuna Sur offers affordable seats (Category 2) very close to the pitch, like everywhere at San Mamés.
Hover over the plan to find each area. Prices by stand are shown on each match page.
Bilbao metro line 1 or 2, San Mamés station, at the foot of the stadium.
Tram (San Mamés stop) or around 20 minutes on foot from the centre and the Guggenheim museum.
Arrive early: the bars around the stadium are packed before the match. Check the gate shown on your ticket.
