See ticketsThe Reale Arena, long known as Anoeta, has been Real Sociedad's home since 1993. In 2019, the club removed the athletics track and brought the stands closer to the pitch: the fully covered 39,500-seat stadium became one of the cauldrons of northern Spain.
The side stands have two levels: at the bottom, the numbered sections (1 to 27), the korners and the palcos; at the top, the ring of letters A to S. Behind the goals are the Familiar stand at one end and the Aitor Zabaleta stand at the other, where the most passionate fans gather.
The Basque derby against Athletic Bilbao sets the whole city buzzing, as do visits from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Each stand offers a different experience. Here is what you need to know.
The main stand, on the dugout side. At the bottom, sections 1, 2, 19, 20, 26 and 27 and the Premium, Plus A and Plus E areas (Category 1 Premium); at the top, the A to C and N to S ring (Category 1).
The East stand, opposite. At the bottom, sections 8 to 13 and the Palco Este (Category 1 Premium); at the top, sections F to K (Category 1), with a great overall view.
Behind the north goal, the family stand, with sections E1 to E3 and its palco. Category 2 seats; the away section is in the neighbouring corner.
Behind the south goal, the stand named after Aitor Zabaleta, a Real fan who died in 1998. It is the heart of the atmosphere, with sections L1 to L3. Category 2 seats.
Hover over the plan to find each area. Prices by stand are shown on each match page.
Euskotren train (the "Topo"), Anoeta station, a few minutes' walk from the stadium.
Dbus city buses from the centre, or about 25 minutes on foot from the old town through the Amara district.
Pintxos in the Parte Vieja are a must before the match: set off early to give yourself time to reach the stadium.
